Lash (1864-1935) was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, and immigrated to the United States. He studied in San Francisco and Paris, eventually settling in New York and establishing with his brother a stage curtain painting business for which he is best known, the Lee Lash Theater Curtain Company. The stock market crash of 1929 and the decline of Vaudeville hurt the buisness and Lash ultimately ended up painting smaller canvases, mainly views of New York landscapes. and retiring with his wife to Los Angeles.

Upon request, Swann will facilitate the shipping of purchases to out-of-town buyers at an additional charge for packing, shipping and insurance, but will not be responsible for any loss, damage or delay resulting from the packing, handling and shipping thereof.
