The Borsalino Hat Company was founded in 1857, and successfully used posters as a means of advertising their products and promoting their business. They also commissioned artists such as Marcello Dudovich, Gino Boccasile, Giuseppe Minonzio and most notably, Max Huber to design their posters. Here, presented along with the company's recognizable cursive logo, a dapper hand doffs a fedora. Intentionally or not, it is a photographic "tip of the hat" to Leonetto Cappiello's memorable Mossant image.
