From 1978, R. Chast has been one of the most beloved of New Yorker cartoonists. She is a total New Yorker who finds comedy all around her in The Big Apple and often draws on her own family for humor. Her most important book is her at times poignant graphic memoir of life with her elderly parents, Can't We Talk About Something More Pleasant? (2014). 1988
