ALO (CHARLES HALLO, 1884-1969) LE POULIGUEN. 1934.
39x24 3/4 inches, 99x63 cm. Chaix, Paris
Condition A / A-: expertly-repaired tears at edges.
In its heyday, Le Pouliguen was a significant trade city for salt, until the abandonment of the local salt marshes turned it into a successful fishing village. Today, the bleached shores of Le Pouliguen have allowed it to become one of Brittany's appreciated seaside resort towns. Here, fishing boats, tourists and gulls fill the busy port.
