This season’s Modern & Post-War Art auction is set to present a broad scope of artistic movements, featuring Selections From the Gary Snyder Collection. The collection forms the cornerstone of the Modernist lots on offer with works by American Abstract Artists group members, Museum of Non-Objective Painting exhibitors, and Indian Space painters. 


Selections From the Gary Snyder Collection

  • Lot 109: Jean Xceron, Untitled, watercolor, 1951. Estimate $1,200 to $1,800.
  • Lot 100: John Ferren, Tete, oil and pumice on canvas, circa 1933. Estimate $4,000 to $6,000.
Lot 125: Conrad Marca-Relli, CX-9-76, mixed media, 1976. Estimate $2,000 to $3,000.

Post-War Abstraction

Lot 48: Robert Lee Neal, Untitled (Abstraction), oil and collage on canvas, 1985. Estimate $7,000 to $9,000.
Lot 40: Dorothy Dehner, Candles and Mellons, corten steel, 1987. Estimate $10,000 to $15,000.
  • Lot 41: Shinkichi Tajiri, Warrior, bronze, 1964. Estimate $15,000 to $25,000.
  • Lot 18: John Von Wicht, Untitled, pencil, circa 1946. Estimate $3,000 to $5,000.
